Works Outline

We won the tender project on this Graded church to carry out a full pitched re-roof using new
Welsh Penrhyn natural slates, materials and techniques. The Chancel roof was re-covered using new Tern-coated steel to replicate the original lead sheet roof.

This site was secured throughout the project with 4m height metal sheeting and a scaffold alarm system, which was monitored 24 hours a day. We also carried out a full, comprehensive internal electrical re-wire to meet modern standards with new, traditional-style light fittings.

Extensive haired Hot Lime plaster works replaced and made good the internal damage to walls & ceiling due to years of water ingress from the roof.
We then completed the internal works with a full re-decoration from a birds-cage scaffold using traditional clay paints to walls & ceilings and linseed paints to woodwork.

A full organ re-build & clean followed and after an extensive 4-day internal clean, the church was looking as good as when it was constructed back in the 12th Century.
